What is the OPUS Card?
The OPUS card is a reloadable smart card used across all Montreal transit networks: STM Metro and bus, REM light rail, and Exo commuter trains. One card works everywhere.
Where to Buy
Available at all metro station ticket machines, pharmacies (Jean Coutu, Pharmaprix), and some convenience stores. The card itself costs $6 and is valid for 4 years.
Fare Options
Load single trips ($3.75 Zone A), 10-trip packs ($35 Zone A), weekly passes ($29 Zone A), or monthly passes ($94 Zone A). Students, seniors (65+), and children (6-17) get reduced rates.
Contactless Alternative
You can also tap your credit or debit card directly at turnstiles. The fare is the same as a single OPUS trip. This is ideal for occasional riders who don't want to buy an OPUS card.
